WWE is reportedly interested in signing current Ring of Honor Television Champion Dragon Lee when the 25-year-old becomes a free agent later this year.

Lee is currently contracted to ROH alongside brother Rush, the World Champion. Their deals expire on the first week of December, with Hugo Savinovich, the former WWE Spanish-language announcer, claiming that WWE has Lee on its radar.

As well as his ROH success, Lee is a former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, though the ongoing global health crisis has prevented him from appearing in NJPW since February. Lee and Rush were not brought to ROH’s latest set of television tapings as they both reside abroad, according to Dave Meltzer in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Lee last wrestled on ROH’s Gateway To Honor 2020 show on 29 February, successfully defending the Television Championship against Dak Draper. He has held the belt since last December and is considered one of the most impressive high-flyers on the planet, with his years-long feud with Hiromu Takahashi drawing particularly lavish praise.

There is currently no word on whether or not WWE is interested in Rush as well, though his immense superstar charisma means it isn’t outwith the realm of possibility.
