They managed to please Kiosk Cledwyn and nab some Jamie Dodger biscuits for the camp on Sunday night’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.
And despite their victory, Vernon Kay and Russell Watson managed to leave viewers very bemused with their ‘shocking’ attempt at spelling in the Castle Coin Challenge
In order to get a chance at scoring some treats the duo had to spell out missing words from spells and find letters hidden in four cauldrons filled with goo.
They tried! Vernon Kay and Russell Watson left viewers VERY bemused with their ‘shocking’ attempt at spelling words in the Castle Coin Challenge on Sunday’s I’m A Celebrity show
As they headed into a forrest to take on the challenge both of the campmates admitted that they weren’t the best at spelling words correctly.
Vernon said ‘I’m garbage at spelling’, while Russell added ‘Yeah. I’m not great.’
They started the game and struggled with the words ‘rhinoceros’, ‘orangutans’ and ‘chihuahua’ but managed to successfully complete the challenge.
During the task dozens of I’m A Celeb viewers took to Twitter to comment on the mens attempt at spelling the words.
Really? The duo struggled with words ‘rhinoceros’, ‘orangutans’ and ‘chihuahua’ but managed to successfully complete the challenge and win some biscuits for the team (Vernon pictured)
One bemused person wrote: ‘What is this shocking spelling?!’
While others shared memes, with one person sharing a GIF of two princesses dancing alongside the words: ‘Vernon and Russell after finding out their both bad at spelling.’
However others sympathised with the tricky words, sharing that they too wouldn’t be very confident at spelling on the show.
Reaction: Lots of bemused viewers joked about the campmates’ attempt at spelling on Twitter
‘I would be terrible at spelling! You know when you are that bad that even auto-correct has no idea what you are going on about,’ wrote one viewer.
And another said: ‘I relate very hard with the spelling’
After winning the Castle Coin Challenge, Vernon and Russell went to visit Kiosk Cledwyn and saw that they had the option of pretzels or Jammie Dodgers.
Relate: While other fans of the show said they too wouldn’t be confident doing the challenge
Gross: In order to get a chance at scoring some treats the pair had to find letters hidden in four cauldrons filled with goo
The pair chose Jammie Dodgers and Russell started to sing at Kiosk Cledwyn while Vernon started to dance, Kiosk Cledwyn ‘nearly’ cracked a smile.
Kiosk Cledwyn called the camp to ask the question: ‘What percentage of British adults thought topless sunbathing in the UK was acceptable for both men and women? Was it: A/56 per cent or B/42 per cent.’
The camp discussed it, Shane felt 56 per cent but Victoria felt 42 per cent – they couldn’t decide so Jordan said as leader he’d decide and chose 56 per cent.
Having a go: The duo had to find missing words from spells ahead of hitting the cauldrons
Treat time: They were offered pretzels or Jammie Dodgers at the Kiosk
Larking around: Vernon even did a little jig as he chatted to Kiosk Cledwyn
AJ, who had answered the call, reported back the answer and Kiosk Cledwyn gave Vernon & Russell the Jammy Dodgers, they’d got the answer correct.
They returned to camp and initially pretended they’d not won but then revealed the Jammy Dodgers to everyone, they all cheered and tucked into the biscuits.
Vernon said: ‘Everyone was over the moon, that out pouring of joy is something special in camp.’
Beverley delighted in saying: ‘I have just eaten Jammy Dodger!! I’m so excited.’
