Jordan North has become the first camp leader of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.
The radio DJ, 30, was voted into the position by the public and chose Victoria Derbyshire, 52, as his deputy after the result was announced on Sunday’s show.
As leader, Jordan will be allowed to sit in the throne and doesn’t have to do chores – something which some fans teased he had made the most of.
Position of power: Jordan North has been elected as the first camp leader of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! on Sunday’s show
After his new role was announced by Giovanna Fletcher, Jordan appeared shocked but managed to flash a smile as he declared: ‘I don’t wanna be the leader’.
However it didn’t take long for him to get into the swing of things and he soon embraced the new-found power of setting tasks for others while he got to kick back.
Taking to Twitter, some fans of the show shared their amusement that one of Jordan’s first suggestions was ‘to have a nap’.
One person penned: ‘Jordan North’s top priority when appointed leader: “Shall we have a nap?” Some people are just born to lead’.
Leadership: The radio DJ, 30, picked journalist Victoria Derbyshire to he his deputy
While others said they were very happy with him being chosen as the first leader, tweeting that he was ‘SUCH a good pick’.
In addition, some fans of the ITV show joked that Jordan may be becoming a little too invested in his role claiming that he didn’t stop mentioning it.
Someone else cheekily joked: ‘Is Jordan the new leader? He hasn’t mentioned it at all has he.’
Speaking during the show about being elected, Jordan revealed that he thinks he can do the job well.
He said: ‘I’ve got to remember the public have voted for me, they either thought this will be a laugh, he can’t even tie his shoe laces or they thought lets see how he is in charge or maybe the Great British public has faith in me and think I can do it.’
Reaction: Fans were pleased with Jordan’s appointment, with some also teasing that he was ‘born’ for the job after he joked about taking a nap
Speaking about appointing a deputy, he added: ‘Victoria is very decisive, got a good head on her shoulders and she’s intelligent, exactly what is needed as a deputy.’
Together Jordan and journalist Victoria dished out camp chores to their campmates, with them choosing to make the camp chefs Sir Mo Farah and Giovanna.
While Vernon Kay and Beverley Callard were put in charge of the laundry and maintenance chores fell to AJ Pritchard and Hollie Arnold.
Ruthie Henshall and Shane Richie were tasked with taking care of the washing and Jessica Plummer and Russell Watson with tackling the cleaning.
Embracing it: Others joked that Jordan was really loving his role as leader and said he hadn’t stopped namedropping his position
Elsewhere during the show, the ladies of the camp were tasked with taking on the Bushtucker Trial, after they lost the live trial on Friday.
The group managed to win 10 out of a possible 12 stars in the trial, meaning 10 meals for camp, where they were given pigeon for their dinner.
As they started the task, Ant and Dec were sure to inform them that the Bar-Baric trial was ‘one of the most smelly and disgusting’ trials the show had ever set.
Beverley, Hollie, Victoria, Giovanna, Ruthie and Jessica were chained and locked to a giant bar in a chamber, having to wait for keys to drop from above.
The keys fit each of the six celeb’s chains, allowing them to release their shackles one by one, head to the next chamber, and retrieve stars from boxes filled with creatures.
‘This will continue until you’ve released all six of you,’ Ant explained. ‘There are 12 stars up for grabs. Every star you get is a meal for camp.’

High praise: Speaking about appointing a deputy, Jordan said: ‘Victoria is very decisive, got a good head on her shoulders and she’s intelligent, exactly what is needed as a deputy’
Gross: Elsewhere in the show, the six female campmates took on the latest trial – with them managing to score 10 stars meaning 10 means for their dinners
After the klaxon sounded, offal and fish guts splattered down on the women, who had to search for the keys among the gunge.
They quickly found the first key and Giovanna released herself and ran to the second chamber where she picked a box containing a tarantula and fearlessly unscrewed her stars meaning they had two meals for camp.
More offal rained down and they rummaged to find the keys. Ruthie was next and after a couple of false starts released herself. Her box contained earthworms and she managed to unscrew the two stars.
Beverley was up next as the offal, fish guts and slime continued to cascade down. She unlocked herself, and made her way to her box and bravely released the stars.
Slimy: Ant and Dec were sure to inform them that the Bar-Baric trial was ‘one of the most smelly and disgusting’ trials the show had ever set
Yuck! Beverley, Hollie, Victoria, Giovanna, Ruthie and Jessica were chained and locked to a giant bar in a chamber, having to wait for keys to drop from above
Next up was Jessica whose box contained rats. Hollie followed and unscrewed her stars from a box which contained snakes.
Victoria was last, meaning that she’d been in that chamber for longest and was covered in slime.
‘You’re a hell of a woman!’ shouted Beverley as Victoria valiantly tried to release herself as time ran out.
Back at the castle camp, the boys recoiled in horror at the smell when the ladies got back.
‘We got 10 stars,’ said Victoria as the others cheered. ‘Honestly it was so vile!’

They received pigeon for dinner, much to everyone’s dismay.
‘A sombre mood tonight. The girls found the trial quite difficult and it’s a strange atmosphere, it’s the first time we’ve had this kind of thing,’ Vernon observed from the Telegraph.
Jordan said: ‘Morale is low today and I feel responsible as leader that I have to perk us up a bit.’
AJ and Jessica will take on the next task, as voted by the public and revealed by Ant and Dec at the end of the live show.
I’m A Celeb airs nightly from 9PM on ITV.
