The culprit turned out to be a “well known pastor” from South Carolina who reps said was having a bad reaction to a sleep aid, reported WJBK-TV.
Alicia Beverly was curled up next to her sister napping, like just about everyone else on the Las Vegas-to-Detroit flight, she told WJBK, when the feeling of “something warm” made her open her eyes. The sight was not pretty. There, at her eye level, was “his private area,” she said.
“I screamed, and that woke everybody up,” Beverly told the station.
After he shook himself off, all without saying a word, she could see “a puddle of pee in the seats,” she said.
An off-duty cop onboard rushed over and restrained the man, whose identity was not divulged.
Beverly was stuck in urine-soaked clothing for hours as the flight wore on and has been contending with anxiety since the incident.
“I left work yesterday because I couldn’t stay, but I had to tell them why I needed to leave,” she told WJBK. “It was a lot. My anxiety was really high literally. Since then I have only gotten four hours of sleep.”
A “sleep aid” or not, we think an assault charge is in order AND that pastor should be put on the ‘no-fly’ list.
