Katie said: ‘I had a really successful operation. I was getting lots of soreness and infections of my blind eye.
‘It was because the eyelid which was originally a skin graft had contracted and got really tough and shrunk, so my eye was closing. I’d wake up into the morning really uncomfortable.
‘I’ve had a procedure to remove some skin from my arm, take off the old lid, remove the scar tissue and skin graft a new eyelid. I’ve had a scar revision on an old skin graft on the lower lid. All successful, I just have a bit of a sore throat.’
