So this happened last week.
I work at a blue home improvement store and in the same plaza we have a red bullseye store, I’ll usually stop there to pick up things before I go home for the sake of convenience so I know the store fairly well. That day I made the mistake of wearing the only red shirt I own into that store.
So there I was browsing the perfumes and face mask stuff when this little old lady comes up and taps me on the shoulder, due to reasons I won’t say here, I get easily spooked when people do stuff like that so of course I jump a mile in the air. This part of the conversation goes as follows. OL=Old lady M=Me
OL: Oh I’m sorry I didn’t mean to frighten you hun. (She has a very southern accent, I live in a northern state)
Me: oh that’s ok.
At that point I turned around and saw that I was wearing a Deadpool shirt.
OL: Oh you don’t work here I thought you did.
Me: Well I don’t but did you need help finding something.
She then told me that she was up to surprise her granddaughter with a visit for her birthday, but that she didn’t know what to get for her. She said I looked about her granddaughters age(which she was kinda right about off by 4 years)and asked if I’d help her. I didn’t have anything better to do than go home and play video games so I said I’d help her. She said her granddaughter liked skin care products so I helped her pick out some nice face masks and a specific moisturizer she used. I had picked up everything I needed so I just walked to the checkouts with her. She insisted on paying for the few things I was picking up as a thank you for helping her and we went our separate ways.
Just wanted to post this nice story here since I saw her again today with her granddaughter at the bullseye store we waved to each other but I didn’t have time to stop and chat because I had a dr appointment to get to.
